"Walking in Memphis" a country classic

Memphis, Egypt. Location where Colossus of Ramses II is located. It is amazing to me that this enormous masterpiece has survived for this long.

Me, Lizzy, Talia, Stephanie. Love these girls!

As per Lizzy's request, we took photo shoots in the attitude of the song, "walking in Memphis." Although I've never heard the song, I'm sure it is a country classic. Aka necessary to commemorate being in Memphis, Egypt with a country classic.

Lizzy, me, Stephanie, and Talia. Still "walking in Memphis..."

Now here is a pivotal turning point in Lizzy and my travel experience in Egypt. We drank our first real can of Coke because we heard it would kill all bacteria while we were in Egypt and we really didn't want to get sick. Effect: we were wired. Effect: we didn't hate the taste. Effect: this was not the last can of Coke we drank while in Egypt.

Amy and Rachel are in a different group from Lizzy and I so we don't see each other very often during field trips. This was a precious moment, reunion style.

The first steppe pyramid. Professor Chadwick makes fun of our group because we love jumping pictures. They make us feel great about life.
