The Blockbuster Embrace

It's been one week since the Helaman Hall crew dispersed and the long anticipated freshman year came to a close.

For the first few nights, I found myself still up at 2:30 AM just waiting for something exciting to happen.

Here's a few of my favorite moments of freshman year at BYU:

Melissa set the standards high when she got into the nursing program as a freshman!
We were all especially thrilled when she got a professional stethoscope for her b-day.

BYU basketball games with the Minnesota crew
Crashing the Candyland Dance (an only at BYU moment)

Our David John Hall was themed after Candyland of course. There will always be a special place in my heart for the Gumdrop Mountains. Precious and priceless? You know it.

Laura Salsa Dancing in our room with her Latin dancing boyfriend, the one and only Keenan.
(Laura told us at the beginning of the year that she loves a man who wears Latin pants. :P ).

Our final week at David John was not disappointing.

Finals week: 2:30 AM rolled around and suddenly a large rock smashed against our window pane. After the second rock hit, Laura sat bolt upright (actually I woke her up because I thought the window was going to shatter.)

By the end of the night, Laura was crouched as close to the wall as possible, ready for the glass to shatter.

I decided to roll with the punches. Still slightly scared.

Kate was right there with us. :P

Our last night was the ultimate girls night. Hilarious moments mixed with tears, and a little bit of How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born."

- Anais Nin

Such an incredible year, I couldn't have asked for better roommates. David John for life!
